After studying for her Bachelor of Arts majoring in Organisational Communications and working in various industries, Jane became a joint founder and Managing Director of Dirty Janes Vintage Emporium across two locations in Bowral and Canberra. Jane’s experience and expertise extends beyond antiques into small business, commercial interior design and sourcing. Having been an active member of the Southern Highlands community for over two decades, Jane recently turned her attention to running for local Council on an independent ticket. Jane is passionate about preserving the beauty of the environment we enjoy in the highlands while undertaking mindful development. Jane is also an avid advocate for charities, including The Hamlin Foundation, Pop-In and the Vinnies CEO Sleepout recently collaborated with St Vincent De Paul and Argyle Housing to create the “Good Works Garden” on disused land at Dirty Janes Canberra. Jane serves on the Board of Oxley College, is a Board member of the Fyshwick Business Association and chairs the Community sector of the Southern Highlands Key Stakeholders Group. With a corporate history in event and exhibition management, Jane draws on these skills to coordinate community events at Dirty Janes incorporating over 150 stallholders, artists, creatives and the wider community. Jane also enjoys spending time with her husband, Bob and three teenage children.
