At Bowral Co-op, we’re always looking for ways to connect with our community and offer hands-on learning experiences that benefit everyone. That’s why we’re excited to host the Caring for Highland Cows: A Hands-On Workshop with Minard Farm on Monday, 23 June, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
We’re expecting a fantastic turnout! Whether you’re a long-time farmer, a newcomer to rural life, or just visiting the Highlands, this workshop offers an opportunity to get up close with one of the most gentle breeds of cattle — the Highland Cow.
What You’ll Learn at the Workshop
Katie and Michael from Minard Farm will bring two Highland steers to Bowral Co-op for an interactive experience. During the workshop, you’ll learn all about caring for Highland Cattle, including:
- What Highland Cattle need to stay healthy and happy
- How to drench Highland Cattle
- Why they make such great pets
- The opportunity to pat and interact with the Highland Cows
Whether you’re considering adopting Highland Cattle or simply want to learn more about the breed, this workshop will provide valuable insights and practical advice.
Why Attend?
Highland Cattle are known for their distinctive long horns, shaggy coats, and calm temperament. They’re an excellent choice for people looking for friendly and hardy animals that are well-suited to a variety of rural environments.
