Bowral Coop

Gary Reidy

Following a varied country background I graduated as a teacher.

I was balloted into National Service, graduated from Officer Training, Infantry platoon
commander, serving in Australia, Malaysia and Vietnam. Awarded Military Cross.

Post Army, I undertook a business Cadetship with a major public company. I also studied
law, and was admitted to practice in both NSW and QLD.

After a short period of practice in QLD, I returned to corporate life. In various roles as
Managing Director, I gained experience in both manufacturing and service industries, with
local, regional, and global responsibilities.

At different times I have been involved with various community services, more particularly
as a director of the then Central Sydney Area Health Service.

Given my background of involvement in both operational and advisory roles with CEO’s and
Boards, I feel confident of my ability to continue to contribute to the ongoing success of
the Co-op.

In 1997, Judy and I established an Angus stud, but we have changed our focus to
crossbreeding our Angus herd, using Bonsmara and Belmont Red bulls.

This program requires extensive travel and communication with a broad spectrum of those
involved in agribusiness.

We live full time on our property, have three children and six grandchildren, with whom
we enjoy sharing our farm life.
