Since founding Southern Cross Equine Vet in 2019, George has been providing compassionate, expert veterinary care across the Southern Highlands. While his practice is primarily focused on horses, George’s mobile setup means he also cares for the occasional dog, donkey or even goat—particularly those for whom a traditional clinic visit might be too stressful.
Horses aren’t just George’s profession—they’re his passion. He owns three: Gully, a beloved 27-year-old thoroughbred who’s been with George since he was twelve; the pair shared many years of Pony Club and eventing together. Now in retirement, Gully enjoys a well-earned rest while George brings on Callie, a striking young warmblood mare. Completing the trio is Tina, a charming little miniature with plenty of personality.
George’s love for animals is matched by a deep curiosity for the science that underpins his practise of veterinary medicine. He brings heart and expertise to every visit, committed to the wellbeing of every animal he treats.
